With the rapid development of the Power Electronics and social progress, Switching power supplies and other power electronic devices has been widely used because of their many advantages. However, power electronic devices are non-linear loads, lead to AC input current waveform distortion, have a large amount of harmonic current components, the harmonic currents will have a lot of harm. International and domestic have give great attach to restrictive the content of harmonic current to allow for maximum harmonic currents generated by the power electronic devices. Power Factor Correction in particular active power factor correction (APFC) is one of the effective ways to improve the power electronic devices power factor and reduce the harm of harmonics. However, APFC mostly use analog control technology at home and abroad now, a small number of products based on digital control use the backward chip, the products have not been widely used. So the DSP-based APFC study has great significance and broad market prospects.In this paper, I choose DSP TMS320F28027, the latest product of TI of small size and lowest cost, developed a power factor corrector with the main circuit is the Boost step-up circuit and the control circuit uses the mature and developed average current control method. This paper first introduces the research results of power factor correction and APFC of domestic and foreign, and then introduces the principle of APFC and its various control programs, this paper chooses average current control program. Then, introduces the hardware production of APFC, including schematic drawing, the function of many modules and devices, the devices parameters and selection, PCB design and attention, and then complete of the production device.Then, gives the design parameters of PI regulator, use Matlab/Simulink to establish system model and simulate, obtain results to verify the correctness of the principle of APFC in this paper. Then introduces control theory and algorithms, software processes, software design, experimental testing of the system, come to the preliminary results of the testing. Finally, summarize the text, according to the design goals and the final results, point out the results of the article, the work has not yet been completed, as well as the research shortcomings exist. Looking for research topics, point out the future direction of efforts according to the inadequacies.
