A Research On Water Landscape Art Design Of University Campus

Water is the source of life, but also a source of artistic creation. Trend in the rapid development of Chinese university campus construction and the increasingly important effectiveness of the campus landscape, the water body because of its dynamic and smart landscape features, are widely used in the campus landscape. In university campus, using water for artistic creation of environmental space, is one of the important means to shape the landscape. However, as a long period time of the constraints form water resources and campus planning, there are also a growing number of problems in campus water landscape, the traditional water landscape need to maintain, update, and the new water landscape lack of cultural identity.This thesis bases on the real circumstances of the campus water landscape, with the principle of the environmental harmony, to research and analysis the artistic design of university campus water landscape, strengthen the human contact with water, improve the ecological and artistic, cultural and educational effect of water landscape, enhance the activity of water landscape, and promote the human interaction and communication in the space of water landscape.This paper is divided into seven chapters:Chapter I: Introduction section. a brief description of research background, the definition of related concepts, research purpose and significance, as well as research actuality and methods;Chapter II: The research of university campus water landscape's features, types, characteristics and theoretical basis;Chapter III: The survey studies about the water landscape of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, analyze the factors that affect the design of water landscape, the current situation and arts features.Chapter IV: analyze the existed problems of Huazhong University of Science and Technology's water landscape, comparatively study with Tianjin University.Chapter V: The practice of art and design about university Campus water landscape.. Explore the principles, and design the water landscape of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Chapter VI: From the point of view about resource-saving, long-term maintenance, the point of view about development of the times and student group identity, to think again about the form and characteristics of university Campus water landscape.Chapter VII: Conclusion. The conclusion of the whole thesis and outlook about future.
