Optic fiber is a perfect medium for transmitting information and hasbeen applying widely in various fields. In military affairs, manydeveloping missiles should have advanced control and guide systememployed Fiber guide technique.During the missile flying, the guide fiber connects the missile withthe control center and the signals can transfer along the fiber. In theprocess making signal-transferring system of missile, fiber need to windaround a special wheel, which will be installed in the tail of the missile.But it is difficult to wind fiber on the wheel perfectly because the windingsystem should work in high speed. At present, a lagging manual methodhas still been used, and has a lot of shortcomings such as low efficiency,great labor intensity, high error probability, etc. Moreover, it is alsodifficult to measure related parameters accurately and in real-time. Inorder to improve the status, researching a stable, accurate and automaticwinding system has become an emergent and significative task.This paper presents a winding project to measure and control fiberparameters including the angle and tensility, and provides relevant waysto solve the problem in measuring parameters that couldn't be gottendirectly. At the same time, puts forward a scheme using sensors andcontrollers to measure and control fiber winding automatically undercomputer administering. And meanwhile, an essential winding system isreached. This system combines much technique including optic,mechanism, electron, computer and control together to form an advancedscheme. The system provides with precision and automatic functions inmeasuring fiber parameters, and compensates the old winding method.Abundant experiment has proved that this system gives a feasible methodin fiber winding manufacture.
