Gear Design Expert / Cad System

This paper is mainly about the CAD technology and Expert system technology .On the basis of ultimate theory of cylindric gear design the Expert/CAD system is developed in ADSRX on the AutoCAD R14 platform. According to the design conditions decided by the designer and the inputted parameter the system , with a good interface of man-machine conversation ,can do some designing of the intensity and the stmcture of the gear and can automatically choose the material, heat treatment and precision grade of the gear .At the same time the designing parameter can be corrected .Next on the result of the fuzzy check and satisfactory degree analysis the designing parameter can be adjusted or not .After that the designing parameter from the Expert system can automatically be transmitted to the CAD system so that the gear fitting parts drawings could be drawn .This may upgrade the designing quality of the gear and the efficiency of the gear drawing. Additionally if the parameter is inputted according to the design dialog box the system can automatically draw the fitting parts drawings of the gear.
