Digital Pre-assembly Planning

With the competition of manufacturing and rapid development of the new computer technology, in order to adapt the quickly changeable market requirement, new technology, new philosophy, new pattern and new ideology, such as Computer桝ided Design and Computer桝ided Manufacture, Computer Integrated Manufacture, No梡aper Design in different place, Concurrent Engineering etc. , emerge in endlessly. In Concurrent Engineering, Digital product assembly planning using computer can provide foundation for guaranteeing assembly feasibility and optimization during actual product assembly procedure, and is very important in improving product quality, decreasing product cost and shortening production time. Due to the combinatorial exploding problem with the increasing of part number in assembly sequences generation, This paper presented and established the assembly sequence generation rule, and the algorithm of the control strategy and blackboard structure on expert system for assembly sequences generation. It reduced the complexity and solved assembly sequences generation of large梥cale assembly. In the digital product assembly planning prototype system, this paper collected information of assembly modeling, and built a kind of hierarchical assembly model towards assembly planning. In addition, the visualization of assembly AND/OR graph, and assembly sequences Binary Tree and assembly process dynamic simulation is realized, so it provided the suffici.ent information for guaranteeing assembly feasibility and optimization during actual product assembly procedure.
