This paper抯 goal is to improve the performance of the Electric Vehicle?drive system based on the existed schemes. Limited by time, this paper focused on two research areas: (1) overmodulation scheme based on SVPWM (2) Speed sensorless control method. After carefully analyzed the principle of standard SVPWM and traditional overmodulation methods, this paper proposed one simple and effective overmodulation scheme. Experiments were carried out in one 1.5kW induction motor and its results were recorded and analyzed by PZ4000 Power Analyzer and the proposed scheme were proved to be effective.Although there are many sensorless control methods for induction motor control, many of which are either too complicated or too sensitive to the motor抯 parameter to be put into practice. This paper adopted the sensorless control scheme based on stator field oriented control and adaptive low-pass filter theory. and carried out simulation, program, and experiment works. In the simulation work, one 1.5kW and one 18kW induction motors?control system were simulated and two simplified control scheme were proposed. When developing the program in TMS320F240 DSP, this paper solved two practical problems: the finite-length effect and DC bias effect. Finally, sensorless control system based on adaptive filter theory are tested on the platform of 1 .5kW induction motor, the results show that the scheme抯 performance is good.
