Direct Torque Control (DTC) method is a new control method after Vector Control method. Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) drived by triphase sinusoidal current is research object in this paper . Its mathematics models in several coordinate are set up , controlling principles of flux linkage and torque are discussed under DTC and the block diagram of PMSM with DTC is presented. Then equations of electromagnetic torque and flux linkage are proved using MATLAB simulation software. The simulation model of PMSM under DTC for open-loop control and close-loop control with MATLAB is described. The new model is proved correct from the simulation result. The character of open-loop control is got from the experiment using control circuit with Digital Signal Processor (DSP) and main circuit with IGBT. At last , the DTC for PMSM is implemented and the experiment results is obtained. The experiment results show the character that DTC has rapid dynamic response and the control method is feasible.
