Direct torque control (DTC) method is a new control strategy after vector control method. Permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) driven by triphase sinusoidal current is research object in this paper. On the basis of analysis of the structure, movement principle and math model of PMSM, Fundamental theories and structure of the system of PMSM alternating current (AC) servo systems based on DTC are discussed. Then Simulation models of traditional PMSM DTC and PMSM DTC based on vectors subdivision are established separately. Compared with the traditional PMSM DTC, Simulation results show PMSM DTC based on vectors subdivision not only keep the advantage of quick torque response of traditional PMSM DTC but also reduce the electromagnetic torque ripples. At last, The controller hardware and software of PMSM AC servo system based on the DSP (TMS320F2812) is designed . Experiment results prove that this control system is feasible and the three-loop control strategy can be realized. The performance of the designed AC servo system based on DTC can meet the needs of applications.
