This paper studies the reinforced concrete odd-shaped column (L-shape, T-shape, 十-shape). First it studies the regulation of lateral deflection of the column under the load of biaxial eccentric pressure considering the influence of the additional bending moment; By using a computer program made by the author, the paper presents the way that can work out the compressive strength capacity of the column under the load of biaxial eccentric pressure; Because the calculating result of the computer program tallies with that of the experiment, the paper gives a formula to calculate the lateral deflection of the column and the method to calculate the critical length of the column needing to consider the influence of the additional bending moment. Then the paper treats R.C. odd-shaped columns as the cold bridge in walls made by lightweight material of the building. It conducts the calculating process to work out the quantity of the loss of heat and the distribution of heat field in the corner of the odd-shaped columns by using analytic method. The process needs a lot of work by hand, so a computer program is made and the results are contracted with that of graphical calculating method. For the results are satisfying, it proves that the analytic method is used correctly.
