In this article, based on the research project "Fault Diagnosis and Aided Analysis of Marine M/E remote control device for Computer-Based System", the principle emulating and fault-analysis of MAN B&W M/E remote control system in huge container vessels in COSCON are made.The second chapter of this article is based on certain model of MAN B&W pneumatic execution units that analyses the construction and the work principle of all units particularly. The logic gas loop of all components (mainly in valve) is fully described. It becomes the reference object in the latter of this paper.According the second chapter, the third chapter decompose the MAN B&W pneumatic execution units in prepare, start, stop and invert logic control, and builds corresponding mathematic model. And lastly, from the point of systematization, establishes the logic matrix criterion that can easily to be computed.In the fourth chapter, the author sets up the FTA model and FEA model of MAN B&W pneumatic execution units grounding on the FTA and FEA theory. And links up the two matrixes by associated matrix.In the fifth chapter, the author applies the reliability maintenance theory to the MAN B&W pneumatic execution units. By probability method, this paper established a model of status evaluating, which can provide ration level bases for the pneumatic execution units. And by this method, the optimized analysis of FTA fault diagnose can be made.The sixth chapter is mainly about the architecture of the computer application of the project. The application emphasizes on the combination of theory and real demand. The main application is a multiple document interface, divided into four parts, base information browse windows, windows of gas loop for logic control specific, windows of the dynamic effect of principle emulation and its dynamic synchronous processing, FTA & FEA analysis windows of pneumatic execution units. All these windows can run synchronously for the multiple thread support techniques of Windows OS.The computer application, which was developed from the Ship M/E remote control system pneumatic execution units principle emulation and fault information flow analysis has been deployed on more than 30 vessels of COSCON. It is welcomed because of the friendly interface, vivid images, directed effect, rich of data, operate easily and the ability of problem solving. Especially the FTA & FEA of M/E pneumatic execution units can help the ship engineers analysis and evaluate the fault, find the source of the fault and point out the fault position and precaution maintenance as well.
