In this paper, in order to improve the design's level of supply hot pipes network in our country, a CAD software of supply hot pipes network based on the AutoCAD2000 which is used as software platform is developed. The software is applied CAD technology , modern design theory and computational technique.First of all, the graphics files, the module of pipe lines 'drawing and other associated modules are developed. The modules adopt graphical interfaces, make users can draw pipes and pipes' accessories expediently and straightway, so as to improve the drawing's efficiency. In the mean time, users can input the parameters and attributes of pipes, accessories and buildings interactively. The data which are used in the hydraulic calculation module of pipes network and the output module of datasheet.After finished the pipes network's layout, the data processing module can pick-up data from graphics file and judge the most disadvantageous loop automatically. All the work's purpose is provide data for module hydraulic calculation module of pipes network and the output module of datasheet.Finally, set up the mathematic model of optimal design which use the cost minimization of investment and run as target function's value. The module can accomplish the optimal design for pipe's diameter by simulate the calculation process.The program is written in Object ARX and C++. The conversation between user and computer is held through Windows interface and Chinese menu. The correctness of theory analysis and reliability and affiance of software are verified by comparing practical calculation with traditional design.
