MAV can be divided into two configurations, one is fixed-wing and the other is flapping-wing configuration. Thesis focuses on the flapping-wing MAV. First, a flapping-wing modal is suggested after carefully studying the theory of aerodynamics. Basing on the modal, we can design a simulating program, which can be used to calculate the wing's ascended force. Second, a program was designed. The program was constructed to simulate the flapping motion of a flapping-wing MAV and do dynamic analysis for it. Then, some flapping-wings were designed and modal analysis was done. By analyzing the modal analysis result some advice was suggested for the wing designing. At last, experiment that focuses on the driver motor and flapping-whig was done. With the experiment, the characteristic curve of the driver motor was speculated and validated.
