As an integrated advancing academic subject that developing very quickly, the application of ergonomics has penetrated into many industries. Ergonomics focuses most of its research on the human factor, which includes biology, psycology and other aspects. Through the deep study on the relationship of man and machine and the relationship of man and environment, a series ergonomics design theories and principles had been put forward and produced a huge promotion to the progress of our society. In this paper, the former part introduced the ergonomics theory and the virtual reality technology to the human-machine-environment study of the Infantry Fighting Vehicle that imported, its whole design ideology was mainly discussed; with the help of present software engineer method, we produced a simulation software of human-machine-environment engineer on combatsystem, which based on the widely used three-dimension software-3D StudioMAX. We created a three-dimension model of virtual human according to the human size criterion of our country. A meaningful work was also made to get means of solving the working area, the visual field and the conflict inspecting and then displaying them. The software could also analysis the work efficiency of the system. As a whole, the system can provide some instruct and theory foundation for the further reasoning optimizing design. The latter part made FEM analysis on a muzzle brake and a cradle of some type with the use of I-DEAS. The maximal load value and its location were produced. With these results, the designer can measure the intensity and the rationality of the structure.
