In order to adapt the development of the electric power market and to improve the performance of the unit, this paper researches on load optimal dispatch of a 300MW combined cycle unit which consists of two gas turbines, two heat recovery steam generators(HRSG) and a steam turbine.As the foundation, part-load models of these gas turbines, HRSGs and steam turbine are founded. This paper presents factors having effect on unit performance, and discusses several corresponding methods for calculating the part-load performance of the combined cycle unit which operating in different combination modes.For different load dispatching styles, two optimal models are founded, which are online optimization and offline optimization. This paper analyzes the characteristic and the realization way of these two optimal models. Then the application of genetic algorithm in offline optimization model is expressed in detail.
