The benchmark rev equipment is designed to provide speed reference for tacho generator's testing, which has high velocity precision, wide speed range and stepless speed adjustment. A system with REPMSM (Rare Earth Permanent Magnet Synchro -nous Motor) as executing motor is presented in this thesis. The hardware platform for the AC speed regulating system is based on TMS320F240 DSP controller and uses IPM (Intelligent Power Model) as the power device in the invert circuit.After studying the traits and operating characteristic of the REPMSM, a speed adjusting scheme combining the in-phase variable-frequency speed adjusting with a speed-closed loop is introduced specially. To get a high precision rotate speed, the system has realized the respective control of IPM's input DC voltage and output voltage wave frequency. Considering the system's wide speed range and IPM's switching frequency's top limit, the variable flux linkage locus structure control has been executed in the full speed adjusting range.Based on the theory creation of space voltage vector's polygonal flux linkage locus, freewill partition of the ideal flux circle is realized by the software method. Furthermore, different polygonal flux linkage locus's fluent switching point is also found, which overcomes the motor' switching failure and improves the speed adjusting dynamic performance.
