As one of the dominant means of electric power saving of motor consumption and motor speed control of today, speed control by frequency variation is widely used in a variety of large-scale automation production process. Direct towards the problems of traditional water supply system, such as electric power and water resource waste, this paper mainly describes the design and implementation approach of the speed control constant water pressure water supply system. By collecting and analyzing the pressure of the pipeline and the flow quantity of water with the high performance 16-bit micro-controller 80C196MC, using the fuzzy control advanced control methods, this approach changes the water pump motor speed with the intelligent power module(IPM) and special purpose PWM(Pulse-Width Modulation)-generate IC, which makes the motor speed change according to the water supply demand change and makes the pressure of the pipeline constant. Using this method, water supply system can efficiently solve the problems of the electric power and water resource waste and the potential inadequateness of the pipeline pressure and becomes more reasonable.Moreover, this speed control method described in this paper, which uses the fuzzy logical control methods, has general sense and can be widely used on those motors which are used to drive the blower fan or pump or other devices. So the application of this method will surely contribute to the electric power saving.
