In this paper, the long stand-off distances of tandem shaped charges against the dual Explosive Reactive Armor was given and three different shaped charge designs were provided for initiating the dual ERA.Through the Numerical Simulating, the conclusion is obtained: Firstly, the dual ERA can be initiated by the metal jet of the cone liner shaped charge in standard stand off distance. But it is not possible in the long stand off distance. Secondly, there is not enough energy for the detonation of the dual ERA in the EFP generated by the shallow spherical liner shaped charge. Thirdly, the rod type jet generated by semispherical liner shaped-charge is excellent in high speed and large diameter, so it is likely to initiate the dual ERA in one time.At the last, an experiment was given to demonstrate that the rod type projectile is competent for initiating the dual ERA on the long stand-off distances.
