In the electrical railway power supply system, the catenary is a high-voltage transmission line which is powered by electric locomotor in the form of sliding coupling. Whether the connecting parts of the dominant flow circuit are in good contact and reliable determines the safe state of the catenary current-carrying at runtime, and when equipment defects are discovered timely, it can effectively prevent the occurrence of catenary failure. Using infrared thermal imagpr to measure the temperature of the continued parts is an effective means of judging the state of the equipment.However, the current manual deteoction method has some shortcomings, such as poor feasibility; low efficiency, high risk and so on. Therefore,developing a set of catenary current-carrying temperature monitoring and management system based on the infrared thernal imager is very significant to improve the working ways and realize automatic monitoring..In this paper, the structure of the catenary, thetypes of defects and the causes of current-carrying in operation are studied. And the relationship between the temperature and the catenary in operatian, and the effects of current-carrying are analyzed.Then? combinig the data acquisitioin terminal,it conducts a demand, analysis of the management part of the system background and designs the whole structure of system. Through the research of network communication technology and data communication content and format, communication made among every part of system is designed, the function of data transmission is realized,and a solution to the problem of data loss in commanication process is proposed System database is designed in detail and information management function of system is achieved. By studying the handling metShods of infrared image,the extraction of temperature information is realized based on the analysis of the characteristics of infrared images. Aiming at the location problem of catenary current-carrying abnormal tenperature point, analyzing GPS coordinates via Baidu map and combining the scene image information, the system of defective device positioning function is achieved.Finally, the Windows series operatirng system as a running platform, the system framework of C/S mode is used and MySQL is regard as the system database. Using Java proramming language and combining Eclipse development platform, on one hand, the system programming is conducted and the experimental platform is built; on the other hand, the communication, data management, temperature monitoring and bcation functions of the system are verified.
