| As the development of economy, the chemical industry has made a great progress in shanghai city as the new increasing point of economy. Up till now, BP, BASF, Bayer, Huntsman, Air Products and Chemicals, Ltd., SUEZ, Vopak, AIR LIQUIDE , Praxair and other world-famous multinational petrochemical and utilities corporations have started up their projects in shanghai chemical industry park (SCIP) with an aggregate investment of over USD 8billion. SCIP is set out to be one of the largest and the most integrated and advanced world petrochemical bases in Asia. In order to attract more investors and cooperate with the building and development of SCIP, the transportation by sea must to be resolved. So the building of fairway for SCIP has come up to the date.As the part of the study of channel for SCIP, this paper mainly finished the following study contents:1. Simulation researching channel width of large-scale chemicals oil carriers and ships relevant to the chemical Park when they pass in and out under various kinds of conditions of stormy waves;2. Simulation researching the relations between sailing time and tide of large-scale chemicals oil carriers and ships relevant to the chemical industry Park under the current channel and tide condition. This paper starts from the simulation of the relative chemical ships entering the port through three different channels. Based on the experience and means in our state and foreign countries, this paper develops a new method using probability distribution of the track-width to demonstrate the width of fairway. Study has stated clearly that the method is practicable. The paper at last based on five years' data of tides of Tanhu, sets the value of tide-bound water level by high tide accumulative percentage. And then takes advantage of shipping handling simulator to test the value through navigation duration. All the data and conclusions from the research is service for the whole program study of channel for Shanghai Chemical Industry Park, which also has some reference for decision of the channel for SCIP. |
