This dissertation is a part of the research project-the real time simulation study of fuel boiler system and cargo oil loading and unloading system of the large oil tanker, which is sponsored by Shanghai Education Committee.The large oil tanker, as a type of vessel for a special purpose of transportation, has a lot of peculiar mechanical equipments and systems. Cargo oil loading and unloading system is one of these kinds of equipment.With the enlargement of the world large oil tanker fleet, the augmentation of the tonnage of the large oil tanker and the severe of environmental protection policies, the requirements on the technology and safety management of the large oil tanker get higher and higher. Elaborate and strict requirements on the construction, equipments, and systems and safety operation and emergency operation have been given in the SOLAS74 and MARPOL73/78 by the International Maritime Organization (IMO). Particularly, in the Rule V/1 and A-V/1 Sub-Rule of STCW78/95, provide that: the obligatory requirements on the training and certificating of the master, the rank and the seamen of liquid cargo vessels and oil vessel training guidelines respectively. Meanwhile, in June 1998, the Maritime Bureau of China has given some detailed rules on the Engine Room Simulator in the outline of test and evaluation of qualification of the seamen on oceangoing vessels.Based on the above-mentioned requirements, it is very necessary to develop a "cargo oil loading and unloading system Simulator of the large oil tanker" for the drilling of the crew with the application of computer Simulation. The successful development of this project is meaningful in the perfection of the improving of the level of maritime shipping education and the operation skills of the students. In addition, it is socially and economically profitable to the training and knowledge updating of the crewmembers of shipping companies.In the studying of this task, we have boarded the "DAQING76", "DAQING72" of CHINA SHIPPING for researching and data collecting for many times. Those tankers are all large oil tankers. We have learned the safety cargo oil loading and unloading regulations, and developed a simulation control plant base on those oil tanks, the simulation control plant integrated the main cargo handling system on large oil tanks, it has the same size as the real ones. In the process of developing interfaces, we adopt the newly invented application for Windows: Visual C++6.0 as its tool, strictly in accordance with the style of "visualization " . Thus, the operating interface is very teaching and training oriented. Therefore, the operating interface can meet the requirements of teaching and training.This dissertation has detailed dissertated the loading, unloading and sweeping operation of cargo oil on large oil tankers, and especially emphasized the safe points for attention, It has carried on the mathematics model of the cargo oil pumpand the pipeline system to study, Adopt and survey data carry on curve fit method, the mathematical model is not only simple but also guarantee sure precision. The chapter four introduced the functions and operation rules of the simulation control plant in detail.As the complexity and specially requiring of cargo oil handling system of the large oil tanker, and there are almost no similar studies on this field, we have no successful experience to refer to. With my limited knowledge, and I have not much practical experience on the oil tank, It was likely to make some mistakes.
