In this paper, based on the engineering of culvert under the embankment of the special high-stacked soil in the freeway from Lanzhou to Haishiwan in Gansu province, by field tests and theoretical analyses, the earth pressure and methods of subsidence and deformation above culvert basement are researched. The abutment body and top's earth pressure characters of high-stacked soil culvert , the changing attributes in culvert construction prophase and anaphase, mechanics behaviors and failure origins of culvert and base at the condition of load shedding under the embankment of the special high-stacked soil are revealed. Based on Mohr-Coulomb yield criterion, using numerical simulation method, FEM is adopted to analysis the culvert. The dates of FEM were contrasted with site ones and analyzed. Through the generalized entirety deformation and plasticity nephogram, mechanics behaviors of culvert were further analyzed. It is significant to guide significant research findings that rationally design and construct culvert under high fill embankment.
