Intelligent meter should be able to detect, calculate, display and communicate, with the network such as high accuracy, good linearity, wide measuring range, good anti-vibration and excellent reliability besides its own benefits. According to this, what this paper argues is embedded intelligent digital vortex street flowmeter system developed by us, along with Automation Meter Factory of Changsha Mining Research Institute.The paper introduces firstly the working principle of vortex street flowmeter, secondly how to optimize and adjust the instrument coefficient K, and then introduces how to use the software method to trace the frequency of Vortex signal by the adaptive notch filter algorithm.The system of embedded intelligent digital vortex street flowmeter is developed on the base of Ultralow-Power Consumption Mixed Signal Microcontroller MSP430F149, which is produced by Texas Instrument. The intelligent system captures the signal of vortex street and works out instantaneous volumetric flow, cumulative volumetric flow, instantaneous molar flow and cumulative molar flow inside. The parameters of instantaneous molar flow and cumulative molar flow can be displayed on LCD at the same time. Four keys are used to switch content of display and set parameters, for instance, password, and many other different parameters. With D/A chip AD421 and Modem chip HT2012, the system can construct FIART fieldbus network with upper computers.On the base of analyzing the operation of the system, every function module of software is programmed. At last, the paper draws a conclusion according to the experiments of the system of embedded intelligent digital vortex street flowmeter. A suggestion is put forward about a long term developing product.Experiment result shows that the system of embedded intelligent digital vortex street flowmeter we developed features high measuring accuracy, ease operation and good reliability.
