Cad System Based On The Concurrent Design Of Mechanical Products

The serial method adopted by traditional design process makes the period of product exploitation longer and the efficiency of design lower. Design with concurrent design can shorten the exploitation period and increase the quality of products. But most of current CAD systems are designed by the serial method. In this system, an assembly-based concurrent design system of machine product was developed as taking the retarder as an example. This system , brought the thought of concurrent design , based on AutoCAD2000. It was developed by ObjectARX, the object-orient second advanced development tool of AutoCAD. In this paper, we try the second development of AutoCAD2000 on the basis of the theory of concurrent design. The emphases of this paper are the establishment of theoretic model and the realization of automatic drawing. We also designed drop menu and some buttons in order to control the program. The paper did some beneficial quests for machine CAD system using concurrent design, and established base for farther research.Testing and application showed that the system was of intimate with human and computers.
