Research On PDM Based Enterprise Product Concurrent Design System Integration

Product Data Management is a strategy of managing all product information (including part information, configuration, documents, CAD files, structure, access control, etc.) and processes used throughout the products' Iifecycle (including procedure definition and management).Concurrent engineering is regarded as a kind of systematic method which supports the concurrent product design, manufacture and maintenance, a kind of theory aiming at the organization and management of new-style enterprise in modern manufacturing, and a kind of philosophy whose main purpose is to integrate resources, improve product quality, reduce the cost and producing procedure with the technology of cooperation.Our ultimate goal is to explore and develop the new roboticized technology in manufacture by using PDM platform. Thus, speed, quality, efficiency and economy can be reached when each conjunction, resource and organization in the enterprise runs accurately and reposefully in the track of the whole system in company with the generation, diversification and transfer of information during the products' Iifecycle. This is also the orientation which our country and the advanced country in the world take great efforts to seek.To settle the severe problems in the process of technical renovation in enterprise, the author, with the guidance of Prof. Fang Minglun, systematically study the method and policy of how toimplement Concurrent Engineering theory in the product design with PDM platform. We prompt and solve a series of problem and puzzle within the Concurrent Design procedure. We also discuss a new method to implement Concurrent Engineering within the enterprise. The information integration, procedure integration and the human integration is realized within the study.The following proposals and methods are set forward when the author analyses the actuality and sticking point impeding the development of enterprise.1. Researched the relationship model between PDM and Concurrent Design. Given the relationship between the PDM function model and the activities of Concurrent Design.2. Set up the corresponding team model of concurrent engineering, regarding PDM as single source database of concurrent design.3. Considering product as the chief object in PTQCS realization, BOM as the technical document of the definition and track of product information, and the extending of BOM model as the method of including data and procedure related to product. The author suggests an achievement method of distributing management after studying the transfer of product data and consistency and integrality of BOM view. Also, depending on the transfer of product data into a frame of concurrent design and the task model of procedure integration, the author carried out some key technology of integration in the procedure of concurrent design, such as the integration of the procedure of product concurrent design and layout, initialization, monitor, change of a task.4. After analysing the variable computer integrating environment, the author realized the encapsulation, interface, and the close integration of application , proposed configuration management for entity design and models and methods for engineering change management, used the method of track to control producing, offered efficient dependence for engineering changes.5. Research the strategy of managing revision model and blending revision model of product data. Arrange the information aiming at TQCS. Set up a centralized information gate, provide theories and methods for modern producing model in enterprise.All the argumentation, strategy, models and method discussed in this passage have obtained great effect when applied to SBW, HUABAO, SAIC, PSB(Singapore).
