For a long time, Time-based Maintenance is the main maintenance strategy for energy enterprises. With the rapid development of the electric power industry, the traditional models cannot meet the ever-increasing requirements for both reliable power supply and low operating cost. There is an imminent call for the introduction and research of the new maintenance strategies.Based on the study of the domestic and overseas equipment maintenance strategies and the research experience gained by the electric power industry in recent years, this paper puts forward an integrated strategy for electric power transmission equipments, using the reliability theory and typical equipment failure models. According to the new strategy, the equipments are classified into three categories by two equipment indexes (the condition index and the integration index), and different categories use different maintenance methods (BM, TBM, or CBM). This paper also optimizes the maintenance periods and inspection periods, and gives some typical example analyses.This integrated strategy is now preliminarily applied in the transmission equipment maintenance in the Shaoxing Electric Power Bureau.
