With the industrial development, the application of fluid measurement in the industry has become more and more widespread. The volume fluid measurement can not meet the requirements for the industrial development any more. As a kind of more stable and more suitable method, the mass fluid measurement is a good way to meet the user's requirement. So mass flowmeter will be popular in the future.Through the research on the structure and modification of the sensor with levitating rotor for liquid, on the premise of keeping the advantages of the sensor, the new tpye of mass flowmeter can be developed. Under the basic theory of this research we can get a new type of Smart mass flowmeter by using the method of double signal detect. In this thesis, the structure and working theory of the mass flowmeter with suspending gyrorotor have been discussed. This type of mass flowmeter has comprehensive feature such as simple structure-suitable for smudgy fluid measurement, high reliability, wide rangeability, high accuracy, easy maintenance. In addition, the meaning of realizing the measurement of multi-parameter have been discussed. The applications of the communication module and the electronic chips capable of transmitting HART signal have also been provided. Next, programming work related to the control to the Smart transmitter has been done. In this case, PIC16C73 which is the main part of the micro-system achieves the display on the spot, setting the parameter, alerting the danger and communication the HART signal, etc.Through the theory analysis and experiment check, the good performance of the new type of the mass flowmeter with levitating rotor hasvirtually met the requirements of the industrial applications. The next step of it is how to use it in actual flow measurement fields. I have great confidence in its future and I am sure it will be welcome by the users.
