Since the reform and opening in China, Shandong power industry has developed rapidly and has made enormous achievement in electrical power system construction. In the meanwhile, there are some problems, the most outstanding one is that the structure of the power resource is unreasonable. At present, Shandong Electrical Power Group is undergoing deregulation to set up effective electrical power market. In order to accelerate regional economy development and optimize resource allocation, Shandong power industry will keep on growing at a high speed. In this situation, it is meaningful to study the planning of power resource and network.In this paper, the investigative object is the electricity network of which the author summaries the research based on actual undertaking jobs. The author explains the actuality problem of Shandong power industry, also describes the goal and principle of reconstruction. According to the author's working experience, the actual example of planning is given. Otherwise, it discusses some key technology problems about power system planning and summarizes some main calculation results.The paper presents a comprehensive analysis of several key issues of the Shandong power system, including current situation of generating units, the main problem that Shandong electrical power industry has in electric market condition. Based on the development plan of Shandong electrical power, the paper, which uses a large number of facts and data, has proposed adjusting scheme of the Shandong electrical power resource and 500kV power network. Compared the plans before and after adjusting by power flow calculation, the unanimous conclusion can be drawn.Because construction of network involving large amounts of investment, wrong decisions not only affect the safe running of the electrical network itself, but also result in a large number of economic losses. Therefore, improving scientific level of decision is an urgent task faced research staff of electricalpower.
