Anti-lock Braking System(ABS) is a kind of safety device which can adjust the braking force automatically, avoiding the lock-up of wheels. ABS of which is based on conventional control system is a kind of electrical-mechnical system,which uses intelligent control technology to against the wheel braked and balance braking force. So ABS can provide directional stability and steer ability of vehicles and help to take the most advantage of the rode adhesive force, so we can obtain maximum braking force on driving and also reduce the braking distance.This paper is based on the working theory of Anti-lock Braking system, applying an single wheel model, analyzing the locamotion of ABS in braking. Based on the wheel slip ratio of ABS .given vehicle speed and wheel speed,the wheel slip ratio is computed. choicing MSP430F149 microprocessor, designing input circuit, output driving circuit and fault diagnosis circuit. Expatiating ABS system each function of software mold piece realizes way of thinking with method, accomplishing control and diagnosis software design.The anti-lock braking system has already passed the basis function experiment in simulant tester. The result shows that the hardware design of the anti-lock braking system is feasible, the control strategy used is correct and efficiency, the system is stable, reliable and safe .
