Anti-lock braking system (ABS) prevent wheels locked by adjusting the brakingforce, making wheel slip rate maintaiing at the optimal range to improve theperformance of automobile braking. ABS is a effectively safety device, and scope ofapplication is used more and more widely. At present most of the ABS products arecontroled by logic threshold, but it is not very perfect auto ABS control mode, so it isnecessary to study the control strategy of ABS furtherly.The main research contentsof this paper are as followsfirstly, introduce the development history of automobile ABS system, theresearch status in domestic and abroad as well as the trend of automobile ABStechnology development.Then analysis automobile anti-lock braking system intheoretical, including ABS working principle, structure, classification the Thecurrent control mode (logic threshold control, PID control, sliding mode control,fuzzy control). And make the introduction of the index of ABS braking.Secondly, establish vehicle model which include suspension, brakingsystem, tire model and so on in ADAMS/CAR. according to the fuzzy control theory,this paper design fuzzy controller based on the whee wheel slip ratio in MATLABfuzzy toolbox,and complete the ABS fuzzy control system. Provided, the vehiclemodel and ABS fuzzy control systems are connected together by the interface of theADAMS/Controls to form the combined Simulation model.Finally the simulation model carry on in analysis of linear braking simulation inthe high attachment coefficient and low adhesion coefficient road, and compared bwith and without ABS analysis of linear braking simulation.simulation results showthat the design of ABS fuzzy controller based on the slip rate can make the wheel slipratio control in the optimal range on the road of simulation analysis which improvesignificantly the braking performance of vehicles.
