It is an inevitable trend that Distributed Power and automatic load management technologies will be applied in Advanced Power System (AAPS). Based on the detail analyse of Aircraft Power System construction and function, this thesis discusses the function analyse and design of Electric Load Management Center (ELMC).ELMC accomplishes the second distributed power of Aircraft.ELMC incepts the information from PSP through MIL-STD-1553B bus, monitors and controls the second bus of the aircraft's electrical system and the Solid Status Power Controlers (SSPC) in the same time, then sends all the information to the PSP.In order to ensure that ELMC is Fault-tolerant, Reliable and Real-time as part of the power supply system , PC104 is adopted as the core processor and at the same time the embedded Real-Time multi-task Operation System (RTOS) VxWorks is used as the software platform. The hardware of ELMC is divided into five modules: Power. module,Distributed-Bus Monitor and Control module,Electric Romate Terminal,Load Monitor and Control module and communication module, Problems such as load real-time monitoring, detection of bus status and data communication are resolved. The development of hardware drive is achieved in software design. In the same time ,based on function demand of ELMC and characteristic of VxWorks, task modules and task priorities are assigned. In order to improve the real-time ability of the system, every task is designed with the program mode of C language .The software system have a more clearly layout, so the software system have a better expandability.
