With the rapid development of DSP technology, real-time processing with DSP devices, has already become a new focus. Temperature controller is being adopted in many application areas due to the need of industry process control. How to design high control: precision and high quality temperature controller has become one of the hot topics recently.In this article, taking routine resistance industry heating furnace as the background, we design a multi-route temperature controller based on DSP chips. Because the temperature control system is a pure time delay system which will cause system unstable or reduce work performance. The control problem of pure time delay system will be solved well if Smith predictor is designed properly. But the changes of plant parameters will cause negative influence. Aiming at the problem, Smith predictor which the parameters can be revised is introduced in the article based on conventional PID control method.The problems , such as too many input and output channel, too short sampling cycle, can not be solved by routine processor. In this system, the DSP chips which model is TMS320VC5402 is adopted as the processor to realize the data acquisition and control output of multi-channel temperature signals. Numerical examples show the feasibility and efficiency of the proposed method. A satisfactory controlling effect is obtained in practice. If the system is improved more, it can be applied in many industrial and commercial fields which need temperature measure and signal process.
