With the rapid development of the science and technology in the present age, energy conservation and environmental protection are the two themes of the global advancement. Solar-electric vehicle hangs the electric vehicle technology, the photovoltaic generation technology and other high-tech together and shows the harmonious relation in new energy sources utilization and reducing the pollution of the environment. In the field of high developed electric vehicle technology, energy sources control and conversion become the key technology in its development and application. Energy for electric vehicle is as important as blood for body. The energy part of the Solar-electric vehicle is composed of solar cell. Presently many institutions apply themselves to research the high efficiency solar cell, however, limited by the material and equipments it isn' t an easy work to improve the conversion efficiency of the solar cell greatly. As the temperature of the environment and the sunlight intensity have an impact on the output power of the solar cell array, its output power changes with them. So it is necessary to track the maximum power point, and we often call this control as Maximum Power Point Tracking. Through MPPT control, the system could obtain the energy of the outside environment in its most.The energy system of the solar-electric vehicle is a compound system. It includes solar cell array and storage batteries. In the research of solar-electric vehicle storage batteries as energy storage device is a very important part of the whole system. Thus a lot of research work had done to prolong the using life-span of the storage batteries.Charging control system of the solar-electric vehicle is studied in this thesis, including the maximum power point tracking, charging battery, auxiliary power supply rectifying and others.Firstly, the constructers, composes, efficiencies and the output voltage, current of the battery are studied.
