With the more and more strict exhaust emission regulation in the world, the low exhaust emission has been the first object in the engine control technology. In our country, we are using the Europe II regulation. Our government will push to use the Europe III in the future. Then the combustion and electronic control in engine has been the most important question again. This paper is to research and design the hardware and software of ECU based on the references of all of the advanced ECU technology. The key technology of the spark ignition engine is the development of the hardware and software of the ECU. The need of more accurate control for the vehicle electronics is satisfied gradually through the gradual development of the hardware and software. The paper combined with the request of our country exhaust emission regulation analyzes the ECU technology and the real environment of 495Q engine, then designs the hardware and software of the fuel injection of the ECU with the 80C196KC of INTEL as the main CMOS chip. The control system includes ECU, signal collection, transactor control and communication circuit. The control software is designed combining main program with interrupt program. Besides, this paper designs the software and hardware anti-jamming.After designing of software and hardware, this paper set up the fuel injection impulse adopted the way of velocity- density and fuel is compensated in starting, warming up, accelerating and decelerating state separately. The ignition MAP is obtained by experiment. The control system has been tested and it can meet engine reliability. At the same time, the system gives out the stability base of the system perfect in the future.
