The modern machine, as the result of integration of multi-discipline, should be given special attention. It is the integration of mechanics and electronics. The emphasis of this thesis is the modem machine whose main function is the satisfaction of kinematics' requirement. The deference between modern machine and tradition machine is the means of realization of the cinematic requirement. In modern machine system, the kinematics' function is in the leading position, and the information collection and information handling are the aids to it. So the focus of this thesis is the conceptual design of mechanical kinematics' scheme.After comprehensively analyzing the related history, now and future of conceptual design of the modem machine, the key problems which establish the platform of computer aided conceptual design are put forward, and the relative theory. Applications are discussed comprehensively. The main contents of this dissertation cover the theories, implementation methods and their application. Generally speaking, the main contents are listed as follows:1. In order to facilitate the computer handling, the related knowledge the knowledge is categorized and modeled. In the sections, the function, behavior and structure is expressed in the form of knowledge database, and formation about the mechanism and sensor is also included.2. The control strategy for mechanical kinematics scheme and sensor model. The design of controller is the indispensable part in modern machine, and this makes the difference between modern machine and tradition machine. The traditional time-consequence design methodology and concurrent design methodology is proposed systematically in this paper. The information collection is carried out by sensor; the sensor model is discussed in this section.3. ApplicationA prototype is developed under the guide of the principles and methods presented in this dissertation. It is explored that structural innovation design of modern machine system on the foundation of model of the manufacturing automation line of two machining stations that comes to found through fischermodel, and have analyzed the control method of flexible manufacturing system on the foundation that using the software LLWin special for fischer model compiles control program for model. It makes some explore in the design, emulation and test of flexible manufacturing system through both hardware and software.
