With China's entry into WTO and further improvement of Chinese people's living standard and the ever-increasing amount of automobiles in China, the problem of parking in the city is becoming more and more difficult. The solid garage can solve the problem successfully because it holds a far more vehicles in a limited land. Elevators are essential in all kinds of solid garages, however, there are many options as to the transfer of the vehicle to the elevator. Having compared different characteristics of dolly equipments, we finally choose the dolly car for the solid garage. The dolly car is simple in structure, reliable in performance, swift and convenient, compact, easy to repair, requiring less demanding other related equipments, etc, therefore, it is the most ideal instrument for the solid garage.Based on the working process of the dolly car, the writer of the thesis completes the designing of mechanical and hydraulic systems creatively and independently, including the structural designing of mechanical system, the power, transmission and moving devices of the dolly car. Because the transmission of the dolly car is carried out by the hydraulic pressure transmission system, we introduce the designing of the hydraulic system and calculations involved.The virtual prototype technology is applied to study the dolly car, and Pro/Engineer software is used to finish the three-dimensional visual moulding of systematic model of the dolly car. And motion simulation analysis and interference of mechanism are carried out and the various properties of the dolly car under the real project condition are shown in graphs. Finally we use the software of finite element analysis—ANSYS software to analyze the parts under loading, and the model of finite element is finished before it is put into ANSYS for solving and postprocessing. By checking the analysis results, we know that the designing structure is reasonable, therefore the virtual prototype is feasible in reality.
