Along with the machine equipments of large scale, continuity, automation and complication, the equipments condition monitoring and the technology of fault diagnosis become more and more important. The traditional mechanical fault diagnosis is mostly based on the signal that comes from single channel, thus the characters of the vibration cannot integrally embody the information of this section. As the same, the characters of one section cannot completely represent running status of the whole rotor. But if the homologous information who come from several channels is fused, and then the vibration information of this section is acquired, the rotor's working circumstance can be represented absolutely.The vibration of a rotor should be a special concept. This paper regards this as the starting point and combines the technology of vector spectrum, propose the method of the homologous data fusion on a section from theory at first, and then derive out the numeric arithmetic by compute machine, thus the vibration characters of this section are gained fast. In the end, the rotor model is set up, the center orbit and the phase characters of each section are acquired. So that the homologous information of several sections is fused and the shape of rotor's spatial track is drawn.Because the running rotating machines have various faults that appear suddenly, and the non-stationary signal is arisen. In order to describe the signal's time-frequency characters and the fusion of the homologous non-stationary signals, the Vector spectrum is respectively combined the Short Time Fourier Transform (STFT), the distribution of Wigner-Ville distribution (WVD) and the Wavelet Transform (WT) in this article. Thus the new theory of the vector-STFT, the vector-WVD and the vector-WT is come into being. These new three time-frequency analysis not only can fuse the homologous non-stationary signals come from several channels but also acquire the time domain and frequency domain's united characters. These characters can relatively reflect the vibration characters of each section on the rotor.After the rigorous study of the theory, using the Matlab7. 0 as the developing tool, the analysis system of homologous signals fusion wasvisualized. The system can use the technology of full information, the Vector-STFT, the Vector-WVD and the Vector-WT to analysis the various faults. In the end the actual signals were analyzed and the value of the system was approved correctly and reliably.
