Since the reform and opening, the developmental speed of residential industry is very high in our country. Townish tactic is pushed fastly, town is rapidly expanding.With the city largening, there are more and more residenters in the town, the requirement to house becomes pressing. For its high intensity, light deadweight, good earthquake-resistant behavior, high industrialization degree, as well as green and environmental protection, steel structure has developed fast in recent years. Considering the present house industry existing circumstance in our country, the construction ministry takes steel structure house systematic exploitation and application as the breakthrough point in our country, and formulates"steel structure residential construction system industrialization technology guide rule"and"steel framework kernel canister residential construction system technology guide rule". However, steel structure residential construction comes forth later, technology hangs behind, for adapting the need to rapidly development of steel structure residential, technicist is studying steel structure residential building. China's The Ten Five science and technology key problems item abouf'Residential Building Structure System and Engineering Quality Insure Critical Technoligy" is one of items about steel structure building research. On the foundation of research of its'subitem "The Survey and Statistics of Loads and Resistances of Steel Residential Building Structure Reliability Technology in the Central Plain Region", this dissertation has analysed the reliability of steel structure building in central plain region.For steel members, the main factors which affect the reliability are loads and resistance. Though a great deal of investigation and statistic on the building's live load in central plain region, the task team has gotten distributing character and variance rule by analysis. However, the investigation on resistances is hard to directly carry out, separately investigation all kinds of factors which influence resistances is necessary, then the distributing characteristic can be gotten indirectly by error transfer formula. The paper takes into account three main factors which affect resistance: material capability uncertainty, geometrical dimension uncertainty and calculation pattern uncertainty.The dissertation makes use of JC method to calculate the reliability index of member and checks it by Monte Carlo method, so as to insure the result correct. As we can see from theresult, the difference is very inapparent. In residential building, different rooms play different function, and different function rooms have different reliability index because of the various loads characteristic. Through calculation, room used as parlor has larger reliability index and used as bedroom on the small side, at the same times, they can meet the demand of criterion. However, the reliability index of toilet is too small to meet the code criterion. So the article suggests the value of live loads be increased from 2.0kN/mm2 regulated by"loads criterion of construction structure"to 2.5kN/mm2 when toilet is designed.In the course of machining manufacture, transport hoisting and operation use ect., steel members' defect is inevitably. Such as members'initial deflection, members'local deformation,remnants stress and so on. Initial disfigurement generates great effect on reliability index of structure members.Through calculating the stabilization reliability index of steel members under compressive axial loads based on Euler formula considering initial bend and initial deflection, it finds that reliability index of steel members considering initial disfigurement is smaller than the steel members regardless of initial disfigurement.The value of reliability index is different owing to adopting different formula in the course of calculating the reliability index. Through calculating the stabilization reliability index of steel members under compressive axial loads based on Euler formula and based on criterion formula.lt finds that the reliability index of steel members based on criterion formula is smaller than that based on Euler formula.The reason is that some factors which affect the variance of resistance are considered in the criterion formula.The variance of resistance is larger due to considering the effect of defects. Correspondingly, the reliability index gets smaller.Finally, the paper has analysed the capability of steel frame with installation deviation, because of the defects in the installation, the carrying capacity of steel frame descends. Considering the second order effect farther,the descension is more evident.This results in the reliability of structure system declines.The effect of installation deviation has relation with the direction of deviation and the discussed points,different installation deviation direction and discussed points can gain different results.This is a characteristic that installation deviation affects the structure system. In the practical engineering, the installation deviation has randomicity, so treating of the effect on structure, the most disadvantageous condition shouldbe considered.As an important index to structural security, it is significative to study reliability.Calculation on reliability and reliability affected by defects has important actions on holding the security of steel residence and related criterion revision.
