As we know that time/frequency is a essential physical variable in such aspects as scientific studies, scientific experiments and engineering. To offer high-precision time/frequency signals, people have developed hydrogen masers of which all terms of performances are excellent excepting long-term frequency stability. However, variations in temperature can be a major contributor to systematic frequency variations in hydrogen masers. As a consequence, to make long-term frequency stability better, it is highly necessary to promote temperature stability.This paper first introduced the necessary insight and knowledge required to effectively analyze and design the temperature control systems for hydrogen masers. With a view of the current problems of temperature control found in our hydrogen masers, it then affords the general design plan that MSC1210 is applied in this digital temperature control system. Since MSC1210 is provided with the circuits functions which are the major building blocks for intelligent detecting, so Chapter 3 and 4 firstly covers those functions and then separately describes the detail designs of the hardware and software. Later, chapter 5 analyzes some specific problems presented in the course of debugging this system. At the same time , provided reasonable means to solve those ones. Eventually, in the end of chapter 5 shows enough experiments data and indicate that this temperature control system has achieve the desire target.Compared with the previous system, this system not only promote temperature stability, but also have many virtues such as reducing electronics systems and promoting system reliability.
