China's Western Region Trunk Highway Planning Studies

The sixteenth Congress of Communist Party put forward a great plan that we will be power play to construct a comprehensive well-off society within the first twenty years of this century. The government emphasized we ought to accelerate the great development of western China actively and make the regional economy progress harmonically . In eastern China we need to accelerate the construction of freeway network as the conditions of transportation has restricted the economic development. Whilst we should utilize the improved transportation environment to facilitate and pull the economic development in western China then stepping into well-off society to be consistent with all of China. Nowadays the economy of Xinjiang province, is developing fast and is in a the benignity circulates, which needs the great improved transportation infrastructures. With the National Freeway Network Coming on officially, the Route G045(LianYunGang-HuoErGuoSi) has been listed in its"7918"Plan to be the seventh trunk road of landscape orientation National Highway. So this paper researches the trunk road planning of Western China through the example of HaMi city traverse highway which belongs to G045 Route to expect that both of transportation and economy are developed well in the empolder of Western China. According to the scientific analysis of real circumstances and characteristics about G045 Route's HaMi city expressway, considering HaMi city's economic layout, regional highway network and traffic distribution, the influence of geological environment etc, this paper addresses to demonstrate the choice of its traverse city planning. Meanwhile,combining the requirement of HaMi's urban planning to make multi-scheme research for the routes and optimize it. Finally confirming and producing the relevant scheme by using Hierarchy analysis method to provide a indication for making decision.
