Nowadays, China is be placed in the urbanizing boost phase, and the village population and the surplus labors are migrating to the city in large-scale; Especially the metropolis are appearing around big cities, so big city and it's around villages is becoming into a bigger city. And now many big cities are facing the redevelopment activities; in this phase the urban rail transit is being constructed and developed with rapidly speed in many cities. What's more, with many Metropolitan areas and urban agglomerations flowing out continuously, the urban rail transit is gonging to come out "the area of the city center", and trend to the city's peripheral radiations. All theses express that both the city structures and the city appearances of China have greatly regulatory leeway. In this background, redevelopment of the railway region inside the city district is the result of the market of the land developing; in the other hand, it is also the inevitable request of the transportation and the city capital construction development.However, the redevelopment of the railway region inside the urban district is a city planning and designing problem which involves many categories; and which involves various aspects of things, such as the technique problem, the partition of the professions, the benefits to different organizations, and the policies of the society etc... Although some persons consider that there are some motives and potentials existing in this realm, it has not got enough value.In this article, the author studies the redevelopment of the railway region inside urban district according to the city redevelopment and the city structure renewal. There are three important parts in this article. In the first part (chapter 1), basing on analysis the characteristics of land using and the relation between railway and city, the author is inspired to study the problem-- redevelopment of the railway region inside urban district; And in the second part (chapter 2, and chapter 3), according to reviewing the railway's development history, analyzing the present condition and existing problems, the author studies the motives and potentials of the redevelopment of the railway region inside urban district, to elaborate the redevelopment of the railway region inside urban district in order to guide the redevelop of the city; In the third part (chapter 4, and chapter 5), the author analyses how to redevelop the railway regions inside urban district. To the railway resources themselves, unifying the programming of the railway regions and the urban rail transit, and using them to participate in constructing urban rail transit. To the railway circuit land, redeveloping it by the mode of Transit-Oriented Development; And to the railway station regions, integrating the station regions and the city in order to realize the integrated planning and designing between the railway station and other architectures.
