For the excellent performance, SBS modified asphalt has been used more and more widely. However, it' s not be as good as expected in some projects. It' s found relative with the aging performance and compatibility of the modified asphalt, and more attention has been put on the two aspects.Now the most evaluation of the modified asphalt are based on the fresh state, or after short-term aging, but many disease happen afer the long-term aging of the binder. And it' s be proved that there havn' t relationship between short-term aging and the long-term aging, that' s say it' s illogical to forecast the performance of long-term aging binder based on that after short-term aging. So to give the proper estimation , it' s necessary to test binder on different state .After theory analysis, the new definition is been used, which include uniform stability and performance stability, but the binder performance variety is not been noticed in the active criterion. We invent the new test equipment (MAST), which be used to stimulate the storage of modified asphalt, and the new value mode. And it' s be prove being more fit to value the compatibility of binder using MAST.
