As the asphalt concrete pavement is widely used throughout the world,the ordinary asphalt has not completely meet the requirements of modern road engineering of pavement material,in order to improve the performance of asphalt concrete modified asphalt promote and popularize step by step.Due to the excellent performance of the Buton Rock Asphalt?BRA?in Indonesia,it has been widely used in the field of road engineering abroad.In recent years,the application of the Buton Rock Asphalt modified asphalt has been gradually increased in China.Therefore,this article with Buton Rock Asphalt and 70#matrix asphalt modified asphalt,using domestic asphalt routine test indexes and Superpave asphalt test index to study the BRA modified asphalt with performance.and BRA modified asphalt mixture to carry out the relevant experimental study on the performance of BRA modified asphalt mixture.research results can provide reference for relevant engineering applications.Related research and results are as follows:?1?By XRD and scanning electron microscope?SEM?,analyze the mineral composition and observe microscopic morphology of Buton Rock Asphalt?BRA?,and discuss the modification mechanism.The XRD test shows that the rock minerals in Buton Rock Asphalt?BRA?are CaCO3,the microstructure shows that some of the rock mineral pores in Buton Rock Asphalt?BRA?are very developed,and the asphalt and rock minerals are mutually compatible.?2?With different dosage of BRA modified asphalt for routine test,the dynamic shear rheological test?DSR?,bending beam rheological test?BBR?BRA Superpave test methods,study the performance of BRA modified asphalt.It was found that the high temperature performance,thermal performance and anti-aging properties of BRA modified asphalt were better than 70#matrix asphalt,but its fatigue performance and low temperature performance were worse than that of 70#matrix asphalt.?3?The high temperature Creep performance of 70#matrix asphalt and BRA modified asphalt was studied by using Multiple Stress Creep Recovery?MSCR?test.It is found that the high temperature of BRA modified asphalt can restore the deformation ability,resist the permanent deformation ability,and the high temperature anti-rutting ability is better than the 70#matrix asphalt.?4?On asphalt penetration,ductility and other routine test,at the same time the dynamic shear rheological test?DSR?,bending beam rheological test?BBR?,Multiple Stress Creep Recovery test such as test method,studied.the performance of BRA modified asphalt and SBS modified asphalt.It is found that the high temperature performance of BRA modified asphalt can exceed SBS modified asphalt,but its low temperature performance and anti-aging properties are not as good as SBS modified asphalt.BRA modified bitumen?60%?can restore the deformation ability and the resistance to permanent deformation is weaker than SBS modified asphalt,but the sensitivity of BRA modified asphalt Jnr to stress changes is weaker than SBS modified asphalt.?5?Using domestic rutting test,Hamburg rutting test and immersion Marshall test and freeze-thaw splitting test,studied 70#matrix asphalt mixture,BRA modified asphalt mixture with high temperature performance of SBS modified asphalt mixture and water stable performance.It is found that the high temperature performance and water stability of BRA modified asphalt mixture are better than that of 70#matrix asphalt mixture.The high temperature and water stability of BRA modified asphalt mixture will surpass SBS modified asphalt mixture when the asphalt mixture of buton rock is high.
