Sheet metal process planning is an important activity to connect the design and manufacture of sheet metal parts. However, the development of sheet metal process planning is far behind of them, and it is characterized as a bottleneck of production. This paper studies on the process planning of sheet metal parts and components, applying the Case-Based reasoning method. There are several core contents in the thesis, including case representation adopting Extended Object Model, acquisition of the Typical Operation List using Data-Mining algorithm and case adaptation based on Typical Operation List. The technology of information alternation based on XML and Component Object Model is carried out in system.On the basis of above-mentioned researches, a sheet metal process planning system is developed. It is based on Windows platform, programmed by ASP, and using Microsoft Access as database server. |
