| Sheet metal process planning is an important activity to connect the design and manufacture of sheet metal part. However, the developing level of sheet metal process planning is far behind of others, and it is characterized as a bottleneck of production. The goal of the thesis is to improve the intelligent and practicability of sheet metal process planning. In this thesis, case-based reasoning theory is applied to sheet metal process planning and a case-based process planning system for sheet metal parts is presented. The core of the thesis research contains: an XML-based representation of sheet metal part; a similarity method of case base building; a multi-similarity algorithm for retrieval case in case base.On the basis of above-mentioned research, the author completed the architecture model of sheet metal process planning system and developed a software system. The software is programmed based on Visual C++6.0, and the data base server is Oracle DBMS. The software can run on Microsoft Windows platform. |
