Lightning is the most grand and important meteorological phenomena in nature, going with physical phenomenon such as voice, light and electricity . It can bring great impact to people . These years, because of the fast building of high buildings and large mansions and the increasingly application of electronic information technology, all kinds of advanced electronic equipments are installed in all buildings. These equipments have qualities of low insulation, weak endurance of overvoltage and overcurrent and sensitivity for EMC disturb, they are easy to be damaged by lightning overvoltage and other kinds of surge. The assessments of lightning hazards are introduced in this paper, on the purpose of making the choice of lightning protection base on the analysis of the value of the systems in the building, the importance of the systems, the EMC environment of building and the probability of the damage . The protection methods of all kinds of information systems are discussed here. Aimed at the energy cooperation of power supply SPD, the EMTP emulator are used to compute the status of the classical cooperation. By the results of the account , the advice of cooperation is brought forward. In the end , a material project of modern buildings' lightning protection is striked out to practise the theory .
