The electronic equipments are used widely because of rapid development of electronictechnology. The strong surge from lightning causes a serious threat to the electronicequipments, with the characteristic of which is low dielectric strength, poor ability towithstand voltage, high requirement for electromagnetic interference environment. Studies onthe effective measures to reduce lightning damage make the electronic equipments workingsafely is an urgent problem to be solved.At present there are a lot of domestic and foreign theories about lightning protection ofelectronic information system and electronic equipments, but the protective effect can notreach the requirements of design and operation. The major content of this article includes:The first, the Zengcheng area of lightning rule and the disaster loss is studied; Second, thispaper studies the characteristics of lightning current; Thirdly, it analyses the causes oflightning of electronic information system and electronic equipments,also it analyses thepossible channel from lightning disaster, and thus explicits the key to lightning protection;Fourthly, it studies the lightning protection for electronic equipment,according to thecharacteristics of lightning and the lightning risk of electronic information system inZengcheng area.The main research method of this topic is that several mathematical models of lightningflow are analyzed, the waveform simulation and spectral contrast are completed by usingMatlab software. It draws the related rules of lightning current and provides theoretical basisfor subsequent lightning protection. The study concluded that lightning current distributesmostly in the low frequency part. For the lightning protection system of electronicinformation engineering, shielding should be used as the prior method of lightning protectionbecause effective shielding can improve the efficiency of electronic equipment againstlightning greatly.Focusing on energy cooperation is more important at the time of multilevelSPD protection.The total design idea of this subject is applying the theory to the practical design oflightning protection engineering of electronic monitoring system through the research onlightning protection.It focuses on the integrated design against lightning induction and adoptthe systemic lightning protection in grounding, shielding, equipotential connection, integratedwiring, surge protection and so on. It achieved the expected effect of lightning protection. The analysis results for lightning protection of electronic equipment provides a theoretical basisand technical guidance for engineering; it has a certain theoretical and practical significance.
