The current power enterprise's applications come to form a highly distributed and isomerous information environment. The fundamental problems of power system information integration have been studied. The implementation method of the mechanism to share and interoperate information effectively with different application systems was presented here.At first, the main information technologies for information exchange, such as IEC 61970, CORBA and Data Warehouse, were introduced briefly. Then, the data stream characteristics in power system between Wide Area Measurement System (WAMS) and its interrelated application systems were analyzed. According to the specification of the security protection of the secondary system in power grid, the strategy for the electric power real-time information exchange platform was studied.A real-time information exchange platform was put forward here, based on the Enterprise Application Intergration (EAI) and up to date the information standard. This architecture can make the integration of the isolated application system, and sharing information of all system. The Import/Export service modules based on the Common Information Model (CIM) were developed. Finally, aiming at the lack of a uniform information model for the WAMS, with the research on the characteristics of WAMS and its application background in power systems, a general information model for WAMS based on the CIM is put forward here. And the classes and the attributes for the WAMS were defined in detail. Furthermore, the information integration with SCADA and WAMS was discussed to demonstrate its application prospects.
