In desert areas, studying the typical structures of desert roads is very significant because it is similar in the nature of climate, conditions of building roads and character of transportation. The paper analyzed the nature of climate, conditions of pavement structures, materials and applying on desert pavement based on extensive surveys or investigations; simply intruoduced the indices and defined China deserts as seven zones; divided traffic volume grade according to data and condition of transportation; analyzed the influencing factors such as the humidity content and the field density, established the regressing formula for the design parameters of subgrade of eolian sand and recommended the applied range of the modulus of resilience for different desert areas after investigating and testing the modulus of resilience;launched the research of mechanical index of the eolian sand stabilized with inorganic binders and gave the recommending value of design parameters;verified it reasonable to use the eolian sand stabilized with inorganic binders as pavement material by building a testing road and analyzing tseting data;according to the above substantial research outcomes, recommended the typical structures of desert roads and offered the designning guide so as to provide references: for design and construction of the desert expressway in the future. |
