Based on the existing results abroad and home, combing with the characteristic of the desert area, the compacting properties of eolian sand sand the using in the highway subgrade are studied systemically. So these can guide the construction of the eolian sand subgrade. After the engineering request is satisfied, strive to exert the carrying capacity and improve the stabilization degree of eolian sand, even reduce the cost of constructing highway.Based on the laboratory tests and the theoretical analyses, the physics properties and the mechanics of eolian sand are studied, the qualitative analysis of the compacting property and the stabilization are obtained firstly. Based on the heavy compaction test and the Marshall compaction test, the compacting properties and the compacting mechanism of eolian sand are studied, and the influencing rules of the compacting test based on the laboratory tests are analyzed. Using the vibration table, the vibratory properties and the compacting mechanism are studied, the rules and the degree that the vibratory parameters influence the vibratory compacting of the eolian sand are analyzed, and the optimum combination of the parameters is sunned up, the choice and the construction methods of vibratory compacting machine is analyzed too. And based on the tests of the field simulation through and the test projects, the construction techniques and the effect of eolian sand’s compaction including dry compaction and wet compaction even their combinations are studied systemically, Following these studies, the compaction even their combination are studied systemically. Following these studies, the compacting standard is obtained firstly, including the compactness. The function of eolian sand subgrade is analyzed too, including avoiding the freezing expansion and slurry-rising and salt-expansion, reducing the thickness of the pavement configurable layer, decreasing the distresses of bituminous pavement and so on.
