This dissertation researched and designed the locomotive LCU (logic control unit) based on MVB (multifunction vehicle bus), discussed the realization of real-time protocol of TCN (train communication network).The function of traditional train control system is limited, such as, many devices in the train can't share the data of others, and all kinds of information of vehicles are hard to get in time. With the development of information science, computer network technology provides a perfect solution for sharing information among devices. It is widely applied in field of automatic control. Train control system based on distributed network technology has become the new trend of development.TCN is drawn by IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission), which is a standard applied to data communication for real-time monitoring and controlling and information processing in train. TCN consists of WTB (wire train bus) and MVB. It has solved many problems that puzzled the train control system for a long time, such as locomotive co-connecting, dynamic organization and synchronization of transmission system, etc. TCN is getting the more and more extensively supported and applied, and has become the national standard of our country.This dissertation discussed the primary structure of vehicle bus in locomotive and researched and design locomotive LCU of a new generation based on MVB after further study was made on TCN and electric control system of the electric locomotive. Great emphasis has been put to designed MVB bus controller with FPGA and HDL (hardware description language) according to MVB standard. Functions of the controller were tested in simulation. A network adapter of the MVB was developed with the new controller, and then, the adapter was applied to locomotive LCU, thus, network function of the logic control unit of locomotive is realized. \...
